PURPOSE: To stereoscopically represent a display picture by photographing an object as rotating it, and slicing this video signal according to relation to rotation, and storing successively slice data, and mapping them on the object of an optional shape, and rotating them.

CONSTITUTION: A TV (television) camera 4 photographs the object placed on a turn table 1 from its side surface, and the outputted video signal is sent to a chromakey device 5. The chromakey device 5 generates a gate signal for removing a background color, and a gate circuit 6 mixes the gate signal and the video signal, and removes the background color, and extracts only the signal of the object, and sends it to a controller 8. The controller 8 slices lengthwise the central part of this signal by the width of one dot, and stores the slice data in a picture memory 9, and rotates the turn table 1 by one unit angle. Then, the subject is rotated by one revolution, and its picture is written in the picture memory 9, and its output signal is mapped by a picture processing part 10, and is displayed on a display device 11. Thus, the stereoscopic picture can be displayed.
