Abstract:
PURPOSE:To record a video disk record, which can reproduce the both of a stereo video signal and a monaural video signal, in high density by recording the stereo video signal in the proportion of the three circuits of the video disk record rotating in an uneven number field to two circuits and recording the monaural video signal every other field of the residual one circuit without leaving any space. CONSTITUTION:In the first, third, forth, sixth...(3n-2), 3n circuit... of the video disk record, the video signal for a right eye of the even number field forming the stereo video signal and the video signal for a left eye of the uneven number field are respectively and alternately recorded and the video signal for a left eye of the even number field is recorded in the second, fifth...(3n-1) circuit... corresponding to the video signal for a right eye of an adjacent track. A video disk player optical-reproducing this video disk record rotates the video disk record at the angular velocity of 20 turns/sec and alternately reproduces the video signal for a right eye and the video signal for a left eye by executing the track jump of one track in proportion of six fields to one time when it reproduces the stereo video signal.
