Abstract:
To prevent clogging in a draining system of a heat exchanger and achieve draining with less steam leakage in a sterilizing apparatus where recycling water is heated by steam in the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: A sterilizing apparatus is equipped with a processing tank 3 for storing a target article 2 and water, a heat exchanger 9 where steam can heat recycling water that circulates between the heat exchanger and the processing tank 3, and draining means 12 for draining condensate of the steam supplied to the heat exchanger 9 to the outside. A steam trap is not installed in a drain passage 33 from the heat exchanger 9, but a draining valve 34 is installed as the draining means 12. Preferably, an orifice 35 is installed in the drain passage 33 and opening/closing of the draining valve 34 is switched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
