Title:
STICKPROOF KITCHEN KNIFE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0947587
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a kitchen knife capable or preventing cut vegetables, etc., from sticking to the blade by embossing out the blade part of the kitchen knife from the back side to the surface side.

Two linear embossings 1 are formed on the blade 2 of a kitchen knife from the back side to the surface side, the embossings 1 are not necessarily to be a straight line and a pattern is also allowed. When a vegetable, etc., 4 is cut by this kitchen knife, the vegetable, etc., 4 is prevented from tight contact with the blade 2 by the protrusion on the surface and the dent on the back face by embossings 1 to make the vegetable not stick on. Consequently a nuisance to remove the cut vegetable, etc., 4 stuck on the blade is eliminated and the vegetable, etc., 4 can be efficiently cut in a beautifully arranged state. Thus the vegetable, etc., can be beautifully dished up and the appearance of a dish can be improved. Further, the thickness of the embossed kitchen knife can be reduced to a half resulting in material saving.
