PURPOSE: To reduce the function of a memory section and a monitor by integrating a still picture recording and reproducing function section, a signal processing section and a print mechanism section so as to eliminate the need for interfacing.

CONSTITUTION: An image pickup signal processing section 10, a still picture signal processing section 20 and a head section 40 form a still picture recording and reproducing function section and a print processing section 30 has a print signal processing section and a printer function section. Then still picture data reproduced/recorded switched under the control of a system controller 61 are read from a memory (RAM) 21 by a read control section 63 in response to a speed of a printer mechanism section 34, picture quality is adjusted by a print picture quality adjustment circuit 31, a print signal processing circuit 32 applies signal processing such as gamma correction, the result is sent to a thermal head of the printer mechanism section 34 via a pulse width modulation circuit (PWM) 33 and printed thereat. That is, a still picture recorded by the still picture recording and reproducing function section is printed out by the print signal processing section and the print mechanism section integrated with the function section.
