This stocking transfer apparatus is characterized by more reduce the outer diameter of a knitting needle guide ring 24 for receiving the knitting needles 18 of a knitting needle cylinder 16 so as to have a size smaller than the diameter of a circle formed in the needle groove bottom portion 17a of the knitting needle cylinder 16, placing the tip sides 4a of the transfer bits 4 on the radially inner side than a circle formed with the needle groove bottom portions 17a of the knitting needle cylinder 16, and nipping the toe portion of the stocking knitted with the upper sides of the transfer bits 4 and the lower side of the knitting needle guide ring 24.
