Title:
STOPPING DEVICE FOR OUTBOARD ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61207837
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable decompression alone to be performed in the manual starting of an engine by providing two independent engine stopping levers, one connected with a decompression mechanism, the other a fuel-cut mechanism, and associating both the levers with each other such that both the levers can be selectively operated.

CONSTITUTION: Engine stopping levers 6 comprise first and second levers 21 and 22, respectively, and these two levers can be rotatably operated independently. The first and second levers 21 and 22 are connected to the wires 9 and 10 which are connected to a decompression lever 11 and a fuel-cut lever 12, respectively. A connecting projection 24 is fixedly mounted to the second lever 22 so as to be projected on the reverse side of the first lever 21, associating both the levers 21 and 22 with each other such that rotating the latter rotates the former. For a manual starting, only the decompression can be performed by actuating the first lever 21, enabling an engine to be started.
