To provide a storage cask allowing to easily manufacture with preventing concrete from coming off and chipping.

A cask body 14 is composed of an inner cylinder 16 where a canister 1 can be inserted from upward, an inner bottom plate 17 of ring shape ranging all over the lower end circumference of the inner cylinder 16, an outer cylinder 18 surrounding the inner cylinder 16 in the circumferential direction, an outer bottom plate 19 of ring shape ranging all over the lower end circumference of the outer cylinder 18, a bottom space forming member 20 of cylindrical shape ranging all over inner edges of both the outer bottom plate 19 and the inner bottom plate 17, and a top plate 21 of ring shape of which an outer edge part ranges all over the upper end circumference of the outer cylinder 18 while an inner edge part ranges all over the upper end circumference of the inner cylinder 16. The cask body 14 is filled with a concrete shielding material 24 and a hollow lid body 15 capable of being fitted into the upper end part of the inner cylinder 16 is filled with a concrete shielding material 32 to prevent a surface layer of the concrete shielding materials 24, 32 from coming off and chipping due to impact of a falling object caused by earthquake and neutralization of the concrete with carbon dioxide in air.
