Abstract:
To avoid the inequality of a load between storage boxes in a large-scaled storage system comprising a plurality of storage boxes.
When a logic volume stored in a certain storage box is moved to the logic volume of the other storage box, the access network route of the moved logic volume is switched by changing information related to an access target such as a network communication protocol retained by a host communicating with the storage box. As a means for reporting the movement from the storage box to the host, a method using ICMRPedirectError message or a method using ARP protocol is employed.
