To provide a storage type hard panel roof assuring a suitable cargo chamber space by reducing spaces in the height direction and in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle required for storing.

The roof is equipped with a first panel 11 forming the front part, a second panel 12 forming the rear part, and a back window 13 detachably provided on the second panel. When being stored, the first panel, the second panel, and the back window are laminated in the height direction by being shifted rearward while keeping the storage posture of the top and bottom. The back window 13 is stored by being shifted further forward with respect to the second panel than the attaching position with respect to the second panel when it is not stored.
