The strap keeper 10 comprises a plug body 11 having a T-shaped engaging protrusion 15 on its distal end face 14 and a socket body 12 having a through hole 19 to be communicated with a hollow 22 to which the protrusion 15 is to be fitted on its distal end face 18. A T-shaped notch 20 the vertical part of which is longer than that of the protrusion 15 and communicated with the hollow 22 is formed on one side face of this socket body 12. Further, a slit 21 communicated with the through hole 19 and the hollow 22 is formed on the other side face, thereby the strap S can simply be connected only when fitting the protrusion 15 to the notch 20. When being pulled by strong force, the through hole 19 is opened by the slit 21 bored on the other face and the protrusion 15 is removed.
