To provide a stream multiplexing apparatus simply and seamlessly reproducing each of a plurality of streams sharing a partial system stream without holding redundant data, and also to provide a stream multiplexing method and a recording medium.
The stream multiplexing apparatus 10 is provided with a multiplexing control unit 14. In the case of multiplexing a first system stream group to be selectively and seamlessly reproduced and a second system stream group to be selectively and seamlessly reproduced continuously to the first system stream group, the multiplexing control unit 14 controls multiplexing of respective system streams so that a difference between an image reproduction end time and sound reproduction end time of each system stream constituting the first system stream group is made the same as a difference between an image reproduction start time and sound reproduction start time of each system stream configuring the second system stream group.
