Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep light weight by making an inner housing from resin, and to properly prevent misalignment or the lowering of durability by suppressing the deformation of the inner housing due to the heating of a bearing.SOLUTION: A hammer drill 1 is provided with an inner housing 13 which holds an output shaft 4 of a motor 3 and a tool holder 43 of a striking mechanism 6 respectively through a metal bearing 24 and a ball bearing 17 between the motor 3 and the striking mechanism 6, in a housing storing the motor 3 and the striking mechanism 6 disposed in front of the motor 3 and operated by the driving of the motor 3. In the inner housing 13, a holding part (a front holding portion 16) of the metal bearing 24 of the tool holder 43 is formed by metal, and other parts (a rear holding portion 14) are formed by resin. The inner housing 13 is made by couling the holding portion 16 and the rear holding portion 14.
