PURPOSE: To enable ON-OFF of the power source switch to be readily checked by the user by providing a mechanism of protruding the power source switch display part to outside the strobe body when the power source switch goes ON.

CONSTITUTION: There is a power source switch display part 8 on top of a strobe body 6 and a charging check lamp 7 is provided therein. Legs 14 are mounted to the power source switch display part 8 and there is a main capacitor sandwiched between both legs 4. The lower end of the legs 14 is made to a pin 17 and is mounted with a compression spring 18. When the power source switch 23 goes ON, the legs 14 of the display part 8 are released of detention and the display part 8 is moved upward by the elastic force of the compression springs 18 at the bottom end and is thereby protruded outward from the top of the strobe body 6. Since the display part is provided with the charging check lamp, the ON of the strobe power source may be readily checked by the user from this protrusion, thus the user is capable of performing photographing without failure.
