Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zone encoding system capable of shortening code data and suppressing the communication or storage cost of the code data further in the zone encoding system for sampling handwritten plotting information and compressing the coordinate information.
SOLUTION: For a certain sampling coordinate (defined as a coordinate hereafter), in the case that the coordinate for which encoding is performed nearby and a plotting area are overlapped even partially, encoding is not performed. That is, for the coordinate of I=3, since the coordinate of I=2 and the plotting area are overlapped, encoding is not performed. For the coordinate I=4, since it is not overlapped with the coordinate of I=2 for which encoding is performed nearby, encoding is performed. At the time of encoding the coordinate of I=4, encoding is performed with the coordinate of I=2 as a relative origin. Also, the case of performing encoding by a zone division method for which a zone area is enlarged and the case for performing encoding by the zone division method for which one intra-zone address is made to correspond to plural picture elements are present.
