Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve durability of a deicing device by interposing a thin force and displacement generation means between a non-metallic high tensile elastic fiber-reinforced matrix structural composite lower structural body and a thin high tensile elastic outer layer, in a structural airfoil having an integral expulsive system, having surface deicing capability.

CONSTITUTION: A deicing device 20 is constituted of a metallic or plastic surface ply or an outer layer 22 having a minimum elastic modulus of about 40000 KPa, an outer member 24 made of nitrile phenol resin-made film adhesive thereunder, an expulsive force and displacement generation means 26 direct thereunder, an inner connecting ply 28 made of nitrile phenol resin-made film adhesive direct thereunder, and a fiber-reinforced 30 composite lower structural body thereunder. An ice layer 18 stuck to an outer surface 23 of the outer layer 22 is removed by inflation of an inflatable tube member 27 of the force and displacement generation device 26. The fiber-reinforced polymer composite lower structural body 30 is constituted of an epoxy matrix and a high strength fiber such as an Aramid fiber. Therefore, durability is improved.
