To provide an extruded shape suitable for the frictional agitation welding by the rotation of a rotary body.
In a structure body, end parts of a welded part of hollow shapes 50, 60 have outwardly projecting thick-walled parts 56, 66. Two thick-walled parts are butted to each other to form a trapezoidal shape. Rotating bodies 70, 70 are inserted in the thick-walled parts 56, 66, and rotated and welded with each other. A large diameter part 71 of the rotary body 70 is rotated in a condition where it is located outward of the extension of the external surfaces of general plates 51, 52, 61, 62. A desired welding can be achieved even when there is a gap between two thick-walled parts. After the joining, the thick-walled parts 56, 66 are cut to be smooth to obtain the objective structural body.
