Abstract:
PURPOSE:To get rid of the vibration of a bumper, etc. in a bumper in which the inside of a skin member is filled with a foamed body by integrally forming projecting portions which are projected out of the skin member to a vehicle body side on the foamed body. CONSTITUTION:In a bumper 1, the inside of a skin member 2 is filled with a foamed body 3 while installing the bumper 1 on a vehicle body via fittings 4 installed on the back of the foamed body 3. In this case, a projecting portion 31 which is slightly projected out of the rear end portion on the top face in the center portion of the skin member 2 and extends in the longitudinal direction is integrally formed on the foamed body 3. Also, projecting portions 32 which are inwardly projected out on the top end on both side portions of the skin member 2 are integrally formed on the foamed body 3. The bumper 1 is installed on the vehicle body by bringing the top end face of the projecting portion 31 into contact with the lower end face of a frame 6 surrounding a front grill 5 while bringing the projecting portions 32 into contact with the recessed portions of a fender panel 7.
