Title:
STRUCTURE OF DAMPER FOR MOVING BLADE OF ROTARY MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0791206
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To bring a shroud part and damper pieces into contact with one another to change contact surface pressure, and to provide damper effect by providing a groove on one side either on the loop or the back surface of the shroud part of the moving blade of a rotary machine, and by embedding the damper pieces of different thermal expansion one by one so that they fit into the depth of the groove and the gap between the shroud of adjacent blade when the moving blade is embedded into a rotor.

CONSTITUTION: A hole 10 for mounting damper is formed on the loop surface side of the shroud part 5 of a moving blade 2 so as to manufacture a damper piece (stop pin) 11. The moving blade 2 is embedded into the groove 7 of a rotor 1 and is fixed by means of a caulking piece 9, and the stop pin 11 is inserted into the hole 10. Then, the moving blade 2 is inserted therein to prevent the stop pin 11 from being drawn out. This process is repeated until all of the damper pieces are embedded. The materials for the damper pieces 11 differ from each other, and the damper piece 11 is thermally expanded according to the temperature at each used step and the piece is extended in the circumferential direction, thus making the adjacent shroud part 5 brought into contact with the gap of the damper piece 11. The surface pressure of the adjacent shroud part is changed at the time of driving by choosing the thickness of the shroud part of the moving blade, and the size, the shape, and the material of a damper to be mounted.
