Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fireplace, preventing the inside of a room from contamination while making good use of the atmosphere of the fireplace, which is capable of seeing mutual faces through a flame.
CONSTITUTION: A guard 2, made of a heat resistant glass, is provided around a furnace 4 formed at the center of the table unit 3 of a fireplace. Gaps for conducting air are formed at the lower part of the guard 2. The height of the upper rims of the guard 2 are designed so as to be lower than the height of eyes. Exhaust gas of the furnace, sucked into an exhaust duct 5, is discharged to the outside of a building by an exhaust fan 52. An inverter motor is employed for the exhaust fan 52 to change the air amount of fan 52.
