Abstract:
To improve the shape and rustproof performance of the flange joint of a fuel tank composed by joining the flanges of a pair of container members.
The fuel tank 1 is composed by joining the flanges 3A and 4A formed along the open end faces of the pair of upper and lower open container members 3 and 4. Both the flanges 3A and 4A are joined by welding. Parts forming the shapes of the peripheries of the flanges 3A and 4A are formed into plate portions 3c and 4c bent away from each other. An opening 5 to be coated is formed between the inclined plate portions 3c and 4c. A rustproof coating 7 is applied to the opening 5 to be coated.
