To provide liquid amount inspection structure capable of inspecting easily and surely whether an amount of lubricating oil remaining in a gear box is within a specified range.
This liquid amount inspection structure has an oil pan 2 positioned at the under side of a transmission, an overflow tube 10, and an overflow plug 20. The oil pan 2 has an opening 2c in its bottom plate 2a and reserves the lubricating oil in its inside. The overflow tube 10 is erected on the bottom plate 2a so as to face a hollow part 14 to the opening 2c. The overflow plug 20 is attached so as to penetrate through the opening 2c and to plug the hollow part 14. A communication hole 15 for communicating the hollow part 14 with the oil pan 2 inside is provided in the circumferential wall of the overflow tube 10.
