Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the structure of a friction drive type rubber crawler from which wheels are hard to come off, and a drive unit of the crawler.

CONSTITUTION: Steel cords 4 are buried in an endless rubber elastic body along its longitudinal direction, in form of a layer structure, and a contact face which is in contact with a driving wheel 10, is formed on the inner circumferential face of the elastic body along the longitudinal direction. And also the layer of the steel cords 4 is buried as being divided by the contact face right/left widthways, and the rubber just under the contact face does not contain any rigid body buried, for making the rubber be able to be bent. With this structure, as the rubber crawler is positively bent and the driving wheel 10 is placed between raised parts formed on the inner circumferential face of the rubber crawler a friction drive type rubber crawler with which the driving force is completely transmitted and from which the wheels are hard to come off, can be provided.
