PURPOSE: To contrive to save weight and to improve rigidity by a structure wherein a reinforcement fixed onto a shock absorber mounting surface is extended toward the side directed into a car compartment.

CONSTITUTION: The reinforcement 14 fixed onto the shock absorber mounting surface 5a of a shock absorber tower 5 is extended toward the side directed into the car compartment in order to form a tank support 22. A longitudinally extending stay 25 is fitted onto the back of the tank support 22 and at the same time fixed to the vertical wall of the shock absorber tower 5. Due to the above- mentioned structure of the support, the rigidity of the fuel tank support is enhanced with simple structure without increasing the tare weight.
