Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a molding in an over-fender member properly and good appearance by simple means without such defect as substantially reducing the strength of the over-fender member.
SOLUTION: This is a structure to mount a molding 2 in an over-fender member 1, and is provided with the over-fender member 1 with an arch section 10, which has an arch shape when viewed from a side face, and the molding 2 comprising a flexible member of a given length, on which a bunch of recessed grooves 20 formed in the longitudinal direction, and this molding 2 is of structure to mount the molding 2 in the over fender member 1 comprising the molding 2 secured in the upper end edge section 2a into the recessed grooves 20 fitted to the upper end edge section 2a. One side face section 12 to be the inner face of the over fender member 1 in the width direction of the vehicle is provided with projected ribs 16, which can be fitted into the recessed grooves 20 of the end section 2a of the molding 2 in its longitudinal direction so as to fix and hold the end section 2a of the molding 2 in its longitudinal direction, which is separated from the upper end edge section 2a of the over fender member 1.
