Abstract:

To solve the problem that although a glass substrate coated with an ITO transparent conductive film is used as a substrate for a resistance film type transparent touch panel, there is no substrate having three characteristics all together, that is, characteristics that light permeability is high, that transparent electrode working can be easily carried out by acid etching, that the area resistance of the transparent conductive film is a middle resistance ranging from 500 Ω/sq. to 5,000 Ω/sq., and therefore, there is no touch panel having three functions, that is, a function to make display quality satisfactory, a function to realize power saving, and a function to surely perform the operation of a touch switch.

In this substrate for a transparent touch panel constituted by coating a transparent substrate with acid soluble metallic oxide transparent conductive film including zinc, indium and tin as metal, the transparent conductive film is constituted so that zinc is contained in 40% to 65% to all metal, and that indium is contained in 0.25 times to 1.3 times to tin by atom base, and so that the film thickness is set to be 100 to 160 nm.
