PURPOSE: To produce a new compd. useful for treating arterial hypertension and atherosclerosis.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of the formula I [R1 is (3-6C cycloalkyl or hydroxy- substituted) 1-8C alkyl or 3-6C cycloalkyl; R2 to R4 are H, cyano or the like; R5 is H, halogen or the like; and A is a saturated heterocyclic ring bonded via N, having other hetero up to 2 from the series of S, N and O and which may be subjected to mono-substition with a substituent such as 1-5C perfluoroalkyl, SO3H or the like in some cases] such as racemic-4-[4- benzyloxycarbonyl-6-butyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-1-yl]-methyl-3-chloro- benzenesulfonyl-N-(2-tertiary-butoxycarbonyl)piperidinide. The compd. of the formula I is obtd., e.g. by bringing the compd. of the formula II to react with the compd. of the formula I, preferably to 0 to 40°C in an organic solvent in the presence of a base and a catalyst and next executing alkylation according to necessary or hydrolysis according to necessary.
