Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of an abrupt pressure rise in a helium container and quenching of a superconducting coil which usually occur when a 4-K refrigerating machine is actuated. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a pressure sensor 7 which detects the internal pressure of a helium container 3 and electromagnetic valve 8 for discharging a helium gas from the container 3 and is constituted in such a way that the operation of the JT circuit compressor 63 of a 4-K refrigerating machine 6 is started when the internal pressure of the container 3 exceeds its upper set value and the valve 8 is opened simultaneously with the actuation of the compressor 63. The valve 8 is closed when the internal pressure of the container becomes lower than its lower set value.
