Title:
SUPERSENSITIVE PRINTING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07236059
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To render bit map image data on a photosensitive recording medium. CONSTITUTION: Gray scale image data supplied from a gray scale image generator 52 are sent to a FIFO 58 and a re-sampling circuit 60 and turned to re- sampling information. For the re-sampling information, A so as to be simultaneously passed through a halftoner 70 and a thresholder 68, an additional bit is carried along with a multi-bit sample picture element after appropriate time delay and transferred to the halftoner 70 and the thresholder 68 by a segmenter 62. The segmenter 62 provides a switching function through output 64 between the halftoner 70 and the thresholder 68. The halftoner 70 and the thresholder 68 provide many luminance levels at a frequency specified by high-speed scanning clocks and a D/A converter 76 executes analog conversion for the light luminance. A laser diode 15 assembled in an hyperacuity printer modulates the luminance and thus, the throughput of images and printing quality are improved.
