PURPOSE: To obtain a supporting body for a photoconductive member having a surface necessary for an electrophotographic sensitive body by forming the supporting body from a core member provided with a surface body comprising a specified Al alloy and forming unevenness generated by plural numbers of spherical dents on the external surface of the surface body.
CONSTITUTION: The title supporting body for a photoconductive member is constituted of at least two layers comprising a core member 2 in the inside and a surface body 1 consisting of an Al alloy of high purity and 0.5W2.0mm thickness on the external peripheral surface. Plural numbers of unevenness generated by plural spherical dents are formed on the external surface of the surface body 1. Since surface treatment is possible without treating the supporting body with grinding work which causes easily surface defects, a photoconductive member having high uniformity of formed film and high uniformity of photoconductive characteristic is obtd.
