To provide a supporting stand of books for stably supporting a mounting stand for placing a book, for facilitating mounting to and removing from a horizontal body such as a top plate, and to prevent fastening marks from being left on the top plate after removing.
The supporting stand 1 of books has the mounting stand 3 supported on the horizontal plate 4 such as the top plate and mounting the book, and a fastening device 5 for fixing and holding the mounting stand 3. The mounting stand 3 is connected and fixed to a mounting stand holding device 7 extended from the mounting stand 3 toward the fastening device 5. The fastening device 5 includes the horizontal plate 11 screw-engaged with a bolt 9, a vertical part 13b, and hook-like parts (13c and 15). The bolt 9 is operated so as to press the hook-like parts (13c and 15) upward from below the horizontal plate 4 and to press an end part 7c of the mounting stand holding device 7 downward from above the lower part of the horizontal plate 4.
