Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability piezoelectric device which is immune to deformation stresses of a ceramic package and always holds the mounting height of a surface acoustic wave element uniformly, without inclining the surface acoustic wave element.
SOLUTION: The elastic surface wave device has a rectangular striplike surface acoustic wave element 9, having interdigited electrodes 90 on the surface of a piezoelectric board, and the element 9 is mounted in a package 1 having a cavity 2. The cavity 2 has a protrusion 6 at its bottom 12 for supporting a central back portion of the surface acoustic wave element 9 via adhesives 8.
