Title:
SURFACE COATED STEEL MATERIAL WITH HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5693890
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the corrosion resistance of a plating layer by containing ammonium sulfate, potassium titanium fluoride and sodium titanium fluoride to a zinc electroplating solution containing zinc sulfate to increase a Ti content in the zinc plated layer. CONSTITUTION:By using the zinc electroplating solution with a composition containing 80-400g/l of ZnSO4, 50-350g/l of (NH4)2SO4 and one or two of 5-80g/l of K2TiF6 or 5-80g/l of Na2TiF6 so as to adjust a ratio of total sulfate ion to F ion to 1:5-30, zinc is electroplated on a surface of the steel plate. An extremely large amount of Ti can be contained until the the Ti content in the zinc plated layer is reached to 1.5- 15wt%. Therefore, the corrosion resistance of the plating layer is enhanced to a lager extent by said Zn-Ti electroplating film.
