Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a surface combustion burner enabling attainment of the feeling of wood and being suitable for the use for heating equipment such as a stove.
CONSTITUTION: A surface combustion burner 100 is constructed by a method wherein a silicon carbide fiber paper 3 is fixed on the surface of a heat-resistant tubular member provided with a large number of flame holes 11, in such a manner as to close up the flame holes 11, by a heat-resistant ceramic layer 2 prepared by firing an adhesive of a metal alkoxide series, an adhesive constituted of alumina sol and silica sol or a mixture thereof or the like. The heat- resistant tubular member is a metal tube 1 and a vitreous-enamel-base coat 4 is baked on the surface of the tube, while the vitreous-enamel-base coat 4 is provided in extension on a part of the surface of the silicon carbide fiber paper 3.
