Title:
SURFACE-MOUNTED PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3965685
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable surface-mounted piezoelectric vibration device which avoids a piezoelectric vibration plate from breaking, even if the plate is bent by external shocks.
SOLUTION: The device comprises a rectangular piezoelectric vibration plate 2 having exciting electrodes and delivery electrodes, a ceramic package 1 for housing the piezoelectric vibration plate 2, a cap for hermetically sealing the top face of the package, a pair of conductive pads 12, 13 bonded to the ends of the delivery electrodes through conductive adhesives at one bottom end of the package, and a slender spacer 14 formed on the bottom of the package at the other end of the piezoelectric vibration plate opposite to the pair of electrode pads. The spacer has a curvature at the end, and the vibration plate is mounted with leaving a gap between the bar and the vibration plate.
