Abstract:

To provide a raw material of a sealing resin layer excellent in storage stability, which is a resin composition for sealing an optical semiconductor.

A surface sealant for an optical semiconductor includes an epoxy resin (a) having two or more epoxy groups in one molecule, and a curing promotor (b2) expressed by general formula (11) or (12), and has 10-10,000 mPa s viscosity measured by E-type viscometer at 25°C and 1.0 rpm.
