Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance, solderability and adhesion of a Cr steel sheet contg. specified amts. of C, acid-sol. Al, Cr, Ti, Nb, Zr and V by forming a Cu coating layer of a prescribed thickness on the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:This surface treated steel sheet for a lead frame is obtd. by forming a Cu coating layer of 1.5-10mum thickness on a Cr-contg. steel sheet consisting of, by weight, <=0.06% C, 0.005-0.1% acid-sol. Al, 3-11% Cr, 0.03-0.8% one or more among Ti, Nb, Zr and V and the balance Fe. The surface treated steel sheet has superior corrosion resistance, solderability and adhesion.
