Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide Al surface with colored layer having a unique color variations by applying two types of coloring treatment on anodized Al surface under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:Anodized Al or Al alloy is used as object M to be treated. The effective surfaces F, F of objects M, M are faced each other with a very narrow space D therebetween, in an electrolytic coloring bath or in a pigment-containing electrodeposition paint. When current is passed across the two surfaces F, F, metal or resin precipitates on the area from the edge E to the center C of the effective surface F, producing colored and colorless portions. At the time, edge E alone is colored, the objects M, M are transferred to another coloring bath, where the effective surfaces F, F, are completely separated and applied with proper coloring treatment such as electrolytic coloring or coloring bath. In this manner, the effective surfaces F of the object M can be colored in two, from the edge E to the center C, with gradually changing beautiful color tone.
