The surface treatment apparatus for simultaneously surface-treating the faces 17 to be treated of hollow parts of a plurality of workpieces 3, by arranging a plurality of the workpieces 3 in piles, and filling a space between a cathode of the face 17 to be treated of the workpieces 3 and an anode with a surface treatment liquid 9, and applying an electric current between the electrodes, has an intermediate holder 7 arranged on a mating face 4 between a plurality of workpieces 3, wherein the intermediate holder 7 has a three-layer structure comprising a first metal member 19 having the face which is adjacent to the face to be treated of the workpiece 3 and touches the surface treatment liquid 9 and the face abutting on the workpiece 3, a sealing member 21 for sealing the surface treatment liquid 9 leaking out from the mating face between the first metal member 19 and the workpiece 3, and a second metal member 23 provided with the face having a larger abutting area on the workpiece 3 than that of the first metal member 19, all of which are adjacently arranged toward an outside direction of the workpiece 3.
