Abstract:
To provide a surge current measuring device that can determine the magnitude of a surge current with a non-power supply method that does not have a battery or AC 100 V AC power supply.SOLUTION: A surge current measuring device that detects a surge current flowing through a ground wire 19 of an arrester with current transformers 11 and 12 and measures the surge current on the basis of a secondary current of the current transformers 11 and 12 includes rectifier circuits 13 and 14 that rectify the secondary currents of the current transformers 11 and 12, a capacitor 15 charged by the output of the rectifier circuit 13, a level detection circuit 17 that detects a peak value of the secondary current of the current transformer 12, and a microcomputer 16 driven by the output of the capacitor 15, and the number of surge current intrusions and the peak value for each intrusion are recorded in the microcomputer 16 on the basis of the output of the level detection circuit 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
