Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable taking measurement even by an engineer alone.
SOLUTION: The surveying system comprises an automatic tracking total station 1, measuring transceiver 2 connected to the automatic tracking total station 1, operating transceiver 3 for data transfer from/to the measuring transceiver 2, and portable computer 4 connected to the operating transceiver 3. The portable computer 4 comprises a memory 8 for storing data of target positions which are measured at the automatic tracking total station 1 and sent via the measuring and operating transceivers 2, 3, and touch panel 9 having a display unit 6 for indicating the current position of the target and its moving track, and operating keys 7a, 7b, 7c to be operating means for instructing the operation of the automatic tracking total station 1.
