Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the mounting work on a cable at an elevation with one hand, and besides, remove the fear of a cable cover being damaged, concerning a suspension clamp for supporting a cable E.
SOLUTION: A resin product equipped with eccentric large collars at both ends of a cylinder and given elasticity for outward opening by making a cut on the side of eccentricity is prepared as a protection cover 1. The body 2 and a press metal fitting 4 are opposed to each other on both sides capably of holding the cylinder of the protection cover 1 with its cut up, and the lower ends are pivoted with a pin 3. For the press metal fitting 4, the tail abuts on the body in condition that it is open properly. A cable is inserted from above, and the body 2 and the press metal fitting 4 are fastened by a through bolt 5. The head of the through bolt 5 is rectangular, and the bolt hole of the body is rectangular to allow the insertion. By the above, all process becomes single- hand work. The cable is supported with the bottom of the protection cover, and there is no fear of it being damaged by the abutment of the top edges.
