Title:
SUSPENSION DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63112205
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate regulation of a camber angle, by a method wherein, when a wheel is bumped during turn running, the upper end part of a start member is displaced rearwardly internally of a car body by means of a link member, and a camber angle is changed in a negative direction so that wheels are prevented from making one-sided contact with a road surface. CONSTITUTION:When a wheel 2 situated outside a turn direction during turn running, a start member 3 is contracted, and the upper end part of the start member 3 is displaced upwardly of an axial direction with a resilient member 19 compressed at a mount part 4. In this case, the upper end part of the start member 3 and a car body are intercoupled through a link member 20. Since a force produced rearwardly internally of the car body is exerted on the upper end part of the start member 3 through the link member 20, the upper end part of the start member 3 is displaced rearwardly internally of the car body as the upper part is displaced upwardly of an axial direction. As a result, since a king pin shaft K is inclined internally and rearwardly of the car body and the camber angle of the wheel 2 is changed in a negative direction, only the outer part of the wheel 2 is prevented from making contact with a road surface.
