Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable variable control of characteristic under low frequency region by communicating a liquid cylinder with a gas spring and detecting pressure, at the gas spring side thus controlling supply/discharge of working liquid to/from the liquid cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a flow control valve 48 is closed, a suspension unit 20 exhibits a characteristic based on the throttle resistance of an orifice 12 and elastic modulus of a gas spring 8. When variation of load being applied onto a cylinder 2 is F and displacement of a piston 4 is X, dynamic spring constant (k) represented by F/ X is determined by the throttle resistance of the orifice 12 and the elastic modulus of the gas spring thus forming a passive control system. When the flow control valve 48 is opened, motion of a piston rod 3 is subjected to function of working liquid and provided with same effect as the throttle resistance of the orifice 12 and the elastic modulus of the gas spring are varied. Consequently, an active control system can be formed.
