Abstract:

To obtain a sustained release agrochemical composition capable of releasing an active agrochemical ingredient in the soil or water around there for a long time by using a biodegradable polymer, thus degrading the resin after fertilization and leaving no harmful material giving lord to the environment in the soil.

This sustained release agrochemical composition comprises a polymer having 0.01%-20%/30 days dissolution rate into a buffer solution at 25°C and pH=7, containing ≥90 mole % of a structural unit expressed by formula (I) (wherein R expresses a 1-3C alkyl; and (n) expresses 0-4 integer) and having Mw=5,000-200,000 molecular weight and an active agrochemical ingredient.
