Title:
SYNAPSE ELEMENT, THRESHOLD CIRCUIT, AND NEURON DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3305267
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a synapse element, a neuron circuit, and further a neuronetwork, specially, a neuron device which can learn with a small number of elements by employing commonly used semiconductor integration technology.
SOLUTION: The synapse element obtains ωX by using a set of two series- connected MIS(metal insulation semiconductor structure) transistors(TR) 11 and 12, adjusting the effective β value of the transistor set with a voltage applied to the gate electrode of the 1st TR and making it correspond to a weight coefficient ω, and applying an input signal Xi to the gate electrode of the 2nd TR and switching and making it correspond to whether or not there is an input signal. The two TRs may be integrated into one. Further, a voltage holding element 21 and a switch element 5 are connected to the 1st gate electrode and the switch element is turned on and off according to the input signal to permit learning by an external signal.
