Title:
SYNCHRONIZING SIGNAL DISCRIMINATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001008054
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To realize a synchronizing signal discrimination device that can discriminate whether or not a video signal has a bipolar synchronizing signal with high accuracy.

The synchronizing signal discrimination device is provided with a synchronizing separator circuit 1 that separates a negative synchronizing signal from a composite video signal including a synchronizing signal, a 1st pulse generating circuit 3 that is triggered by an output of the synchronizing separator circuit 1 and outputs a clamp pulse after a prescribed delay time, a pedestal clamp circuit 2 that clamps a pedestal level of the composite video signal in response to the clamp pulse and provides an output of the result as a DC voltage, a 2nd pulse generating circuit 4 that is triggered by the output of a synchronizing separator circuit 1 and outputs an extracted pulse after a prescribed delay time, and a detection circuit 5 that detects a DC level of a positive synchronizing signal included in the composite video signal in response to the extracted pulse and compares it with a DC voltage outputted from the pedestal clamp circuit 2.
