PURPOSE: To form the title device having little power consumption by utilizing energy accumulated to a spring means, returning a printing head and conducting printing when manually advancing the printing head.
CONSTITUTION: When the printing head 40 to which a feeding spring 28 is fitted is moved in the arrow A direction along a guide shaft 11 through the manually operated knob 4, a lead shaft 46 reaches a groove 54 (a printing starting groove) through the grooves 53, 51 of a lead plate 50 while righting moment is accumulated in the spring 28. A shaft 43 is moved in the arrow D direction by the spring force of an anchor spring 29 at the same time, and anchor pawls 41, 42 and a tooth section 57 are brought to engaging conditions. When hands are separated from the knob 4 under this condition, the printing head 40 is energized in the arrow C direction by the righting moment of the spring 28, but the anchor pawls 41, 42 are alternately engaged with the tooth section 57 (an anchor 47 is oscillated in the arrow E, F directions) at that time, the printing head 40 is forwarded at steps in the arrow C direction at every one dot, and printing is conducted at that time.
