To solve such problems that current measuring methods are labor intensive and have varying judgements by different inspectors because the inspector judges whether a dislocation or an exchange of a wheel is necessary or not, based on a measurement result output from a system for measuring the shape of a wheel which measures dimensions of the wheel (e.g. diameter of the wheel, and height and thickness of flange).
This system is provided with a means which accumulates and stores measured dimensions of the wheel, a means which calculates the average of attrition of each item from the accumulated measured values and stored therein, a means which predicts a time when the attrition exceeds a reference value based on a curve of attrition relative to a mileage, and a means which informs the predicted result.
