Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a system and a method for continuous reception of information by a mobile receiver that passes among a plurality of transmitters each of which sends individually a signal to the mobile receiver and is placed at an interval. CONSTITUTION: A mobile receiver 20 has a couple of scan receivers 26 controlled by a switch control module 28. This module 28 locks either of the scan receivers 26 with respect to a signal sent from any of transmitters and allows the other scan receiver 26 to scan a signal sent by a transmitter within a reception distance range of the scan receiver. When the strength of the signal having been once locked by either of the scan receiver is decreased from a prescribed minimum signal strength, the other scan receiver is locked to an optimum reception signal and the one scan receiver starts scanning. Thus, the roles of the scan receivers are reversed in this way. In this method, the roles of the scan receivers are continuously reversed while the mobile receiver crosses signals broadcast by a plurality of transmitters placed at an interval.
